SUKL hosted a study visit

From 25 to 27 of November, SUKL welcomed eight representatives from Austrian, German and Portuguese regulatory agencies for a three-day study visit within the framework of the Joint Action CHESSMEN.

The visit provided participants with an overview of the Czech Republic, SUKL and the legal framework governing medicines availability.

The activities of SUKL’s Shortage and Availability Department were presented and the participants had the opportunity to analyse real-world shortage’s scenarios, with the data sources and IT solutions daily used by SUKL assessors and the available mitigation measures.

On the last day, SUKL shared the tools and procedures used to monitor compliance with the obligations related to medicines availability, along with its enforcement practices.

The meeting was a great opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge, pursuing CHESSMEN’s mission of harmonizing practices for the benefit of all European patients.
