AEMPS CHESSMEN Workshop

On June 10, the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices (AEMPS) hosted a workshop dedicated to CHESSMEN. The main results of the joint action were presented to national stakeholders in Spain, bringing together representatives from industry, pharmaceutical distribution, hospital pharmacy, patient organisations, AEMPS, Regional Competent Authorities, and other key stakeholders in the healthcare system.

During the session, progress led by AEMPS in identifying the root causes of medicine shortages was presented, together with the results of Work Packages 6, 7 and 8, whose teams contributed through virtual participation, providing key insights to strengthen and harmonise the European response to medicine shortages, including notification, monitoring, mitigation and prevention.
